Host a Workshop
Thank you for your interest in hosting an ACED workshop!
As a workshop host, providing the following items will aid us in delivering a high quality program:
Meeting room
Must be able to comfortably accommodate up to 20 students, with floor space for exercises and demonstrations
Tables and chairs
Arranged in a U shape, with a head table for the instructor and one additional table for demonstration supplies/teaching equipment
TV/DVD player combination
Dry erase board, blackboard, or paper flip chart
ACED does not provide lunch for students. Depending on facility requirements, students may make their own lunch arrangements, or the hosting facility may organize refreshments and/or lunch as desired.
Once you have provided us with the physical address for the training site, we will send you a flyer for the workshop, which can be circulated to increase awareness of the training. You are responsible for promoting the workshop in your area.
ACED does not require a hosting facility to provide more than one student for a workshop, but we do require a minimum of 7 students to enroll by the registration deadline in order to hold a class.
If you are interested in hosting a workshop personally or through an organization, please email office@academyofcertifieddoulas.com with at least three preferences for dates, as well as the best way to contact you.
